Teacher tip

Ask kids how it feels when someone counts on them.

How to use it

  • Praise kids who own a mistake without being asked.
  • Use it at the start of a new routine, like packing up.
  • Keep finished sheets in an SEL folder so kids can look back on their growth.

Watch for

Home jobs differ a lot between families. Keep examples open so no one feels singled out.

Talk about it

  • What can you do after you make a mistake?
  • How might someone else see it differently?

Take it further
