What kids do

“Start in the middle. Find the way out of the round maze to the gap in the outside wall.”

Teacher tip

Show kids how to look for gaps in each ring.

How to use it

  • Let kids trace the path with a finger before using a pencil.
  • Give kids a pencil with an eraser so they can fix wrong turns.
  • Use it as a center, an early finisher choice, an indoor recess activity or a sub day page.

Watch for

Kids crossing over the walls. Remind them that walls are solid.

Talk about it

  • How did you find the right path?
  • What strategy did you use?
