Teacher tip

Have kids look for the capital letter on each proper noun.

How to use it

  • Have kids sort the cards on their desk before gluing anything.
  • Check the sort quickly before kids glue.
  • Slide it into a sheet protector so kids can play again with a dry-erase marker.

Watch for

Kids who glue too soon. Have them check the sort with a partner first.

Talk about it

  • Were any cards tricky? Why?
  • What would you change to make it harder?

Take it further

Have kids add a card of their own to each group.
